We are our talents' biggest fans!
It's been experienced and enjoyed throughout our lives. Here at Trash City, we are committed to giving back to the artists in appreciation.
How we do this is by sponsoring/supporting and marketing local talent, either by helping the Comedians, Clubs, Film Makers, Sport Groups and Bands directly and/or committing ourselves to marketing them. Over the years, we have attended many concerts, film festivals and events showcasing incredible talent that is never seen or heard from after the event.
We want to change that. In our own way, we want to help.
We've revamped this page a little to save space and each group has their own page. You can read about each of them by simply clicking on the link with their name on it. Individual pages will also include their calendars and appearance schedules.
Trash City Magazine
If it wasn't for Trash City Magazine, none of this would be here today, LITERALLY.Chris and Jim met when Trash City was a published trash-culture/pop culture 'zine in London England. Who would have thought that sending $20 for a magazine subscription almost 10 years ago would become the little empire it has blossomed into? We are awestruck at the karma, but here we are, selling beads for a living, writing reviews on any event we attend or are invited to and sponsoring local film makers and bands, helping to push them forward to the greatness they deserve.
Trash City Magazine is casting a sardonic eye over pop culture in the third millennium. Containing movie reviews, event reviews, editorials on our culture and any other rantings, a guide to Strip Clubs around the world, there are links to other relevant, interesting sites and a sister website for Girls with Guns enthusiasts.
Trash City Magazine is not for everyone, covering mature subject matter and parents should be aware before they let their children visit the site.
Future plans for Trash City have been mulled around for years, and it's only been this year that our hopes of sponsoring local talent has been brought to fruition. Our other hopes of someday hosting a Trash City Independent Film Festival is in talks and may also blossom, but not till we have the time. In the meanwhile, we will continue to review movies. If you want us to review your film, send a screener tape (or DVD - Thanks Kaiju Big Battel!) to us at the address below and we'll happily review it. We'll review music too, if you're a band wanting our humble opinion.
